Alfa Romeo Montreal [1967]

The Alfa Romeo Montreal, a production vehicle presented here in concept form sees Marcello Gandini (with the assistance of Giorgetto Giugiaro) of Bertone follow on from the success of the Lamborghini Miura a year prior. Absorbing its name from Expo 67 held in Montreal, this Alfa certainly displayed Italian flair typical to its time of inception with an elegant chassis curve, idiosyncratic headlight grilles and a dramatic column of open horizontals to the rear of each door.
