Citroën M35 [1969]

Heuliez

Heuliez’s M35 wrapped a new, experimental Wankel engine (jointly produced by NSU and Citroën) around a shell derived from the popular Citroën Ami platform. With a fastback profile noticeably slighter than most on the road, the M35 borrowed cues from the Ami but was largely its own vehicle, with many aspects of this limited-run design – a technical prototype with approximately 500 examples made available – finding their way into regular production.
