A conservation-listed ‘Modern Heritage’ building, Kuldip Singh’s National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) building stands tall with a striking facade of concrete elevated from the ground that steps inwards towards the sky. A prime proponent of the fiercely modern movement that saw the construction of some of the world’s most starkly new-age Brutalist structures, Singh’s work is remembered for boldly articulating Delhi’s new cityscape.
