Alpine Uniting Church [1966]

An exemplar of mid-century ecclesiastical architecture, the Alpine Uniting Church was constructed in 1966 with the new town of Jindabyne in the Australian Snowy Mountains region. With an exaggerated pitched A-Frame silhouette of timber supported by an exposed steel structure that connects with the ground, the Church’s other defining characteristic is a full height glazed curtain wall that rises behind the altar.
