Apollo Stereo System [1974]

Electrophonic’s Apollo with its curvilinear plastic profiles and playful geometric interactions typifies much of the 1970s mid-range electrical offerings that favoured broad stylistic gestures over hardware strength. Much like the Schneider SE 460, this was a system to expose a new, younger demographic to the merits of stereo sound and bore the very-presumptuous tag line: ‘for those nights you want everything to be just right…’
