One of Australia’s most famous beachside residences, Chancellor and Patrick’s McCraith House presents a strikingly angular suite of elevations, the volume itself supported by a trussed steel frame that enters the interior and delineates spaces accordingly. Donated to RMIT University, the house (after restoration by architect Peter Elliot) is now home to its Writer’s in Residence programme, placing writers within its walls to advance their work.
