Dr. Martin Zindler House [1967]

Paul Schneider-Esleben

Commissioned by the acclaimed Dr. Martin Zindler in his hometown of Düsseldorf, Schneider-Esleben designed a strikingly Brutalist residence with a volume split into three curvilinear forms, topped with a tower that lifts from the main volume. With nautical elements throughout, this concrete work draws inspiration from ship designs, most notably with the tower resembling a ship’s chimney.
