An outlier in a portfolio primarily composed of exemplar Sydney School residences, Bruce Rickard’s Cobb & Co. restaurant brought American high-way modernism to Australia. A glazed pavilion topped by a playfully pleated roof form, Rickard’s design still stands as an iconic Harry’s Cafe de Wheels location, serving pies underneath neon lit zig-zags.
