Built to La Grand-Motte, a seaside commune to the South of France whose expedited mid-century inception has made it quite the modernist mecca, Henri Castella’s Le Babylone stands out. A stepped pyramidal form of concrete, Castella’s design (as with many of his others in the area) presents a strikingly Modern take on the apartment complex typology.
