Lewis House

Imagery: Arthur Cotton Moore

Arthur Cotton Moore’s Lewis House bears all the features of the architect’s repertoire: free curves bouncing off rigid lines, utilitarian cues, feature circulation, concentric patterning and acute landscape integration. Though less famed than his Bernstein House with limited design information available (this oblique aerial provides the best reference) the Lewis House is a complex, brave and unabashedly modern work.
