National Arts Center [1976]

Leandro V. Locsin

Designed by acclaimed Filipino architect Leandro V. Locsin, the National Arts Center in Laguna represents a modern reinterpretation of the indigenous, vernacular architecture of the region. Often crafting bold, monolithic forms with simple geometries, Locsin’s Center deliberately focuses upon the roof form, relating domestic Cordilleran architecture to a much more substantial mass.
