Autobianchi Runabout [1969]

Designed by Bertone’s Marcello Gandini, the Runabout flaunted his signature wedge-shape silhouette, miniaturised and sharpened through the relocation of headlights to the roll-bar. Inspired by speedboat hull profiles of the time, the mid-engined Runabout prototype would later be developed into the successful Fiat X1/9.
