By the late 1960s, Panton had established himself as one of the key figures in space age design that produced some electric interiors such as the Spiegel Publishing House, and the VP-Globe as part of a now-expansive catalogue was no less successful. Produced in two sizes and equipped with a perfectly spherical glass form which encapsulates a myriad of metal reflectors to radiate light from the source – this model is still manufactured to this date.
