Perhaps a <em>Playboy<\/em>\u00a0article from 1972 serves it best:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Regardless of whether you call the inflatable edifice pictured below a bubble building, hemisphere house or pumped-up pleasure palace, we\u2019re sure you\u2019ll agree it\u2019s the most revolutionary concept in mobile living since somebody invented the trailer\u2014and a lot more fun. Created by a Los Angeles design group named Chrysalis, the polyvinyl Pneudome, when collapsed, fits into a 42\u201dx60\u201dx12\u201d box.
