Marriott House [1954]

Robin Boyd Foundation

Built for a third-generation white goods industrial designer, Robin Boyd’s Marriott House sits to the forefront of his famed Mornington Peninsula houses, a collection of award winning Australian beachside designs that triumph sound, reduced design. Emblematic of Boyd’s principles, the Marriott House’s wrapped rhombus primary volume hosts living spaces raised via an array of slender steel trussed posts that provide a carport to the ground plane.
